Proud Parents

Brooke is 6 weeks old in most of the photos below. She just started to smile and we caught the end of a smile in this first photo. It is so amazing to start to see her personality shine through. She is awake & very alert most afternoons, so we have started "tummy time" and she has begun watching her mobile and looking at some toys.

Grandparents Galore!

Brooke has had the amazing opportunity to meet most of her Grandparents, Great Grandfather, Great Grandmother, and her Great-Great Grandmother. Brooke still has a few more Grandparents to meet but she is very fortunate to have met so many relatives thus far.

Visiting Aunties

We were very fortunate to have Libby & Suzie come to Grand Junction to see Brooke. Libby was on break from nursing school for almost 3 weeks and Suzie flew in from California for a long weekend. We were sad that Uncle Ramon & Cousin Dexter were unable to come with Suzie. It was wonderful to have both of them here to meet & love-on Brooke!! Here a some photos of their visit.

Coming Home

On Saturday, July 21st, we finally got to bring Brooke home.

Our dogs, Moose & Marlin were very excited to see Brooke!

Birth of Brooke

At 9:47pm we welcomed Brooke Taylor Coleman into the world! She weighed in at 7lbs 10.6 oz. and 19 inches long.

The Induction & Day At The Hospital

On Thursday, July 19th at 7:30am, I checked into the hospital to be induced. 40 weeks had already passed, so my doctor agreed to induce me.

John thinks he is prepared for labor & delivery!
Grandma Gail, me, and Aunt Libby patiently awaited Brooke's arrival.
Grandma Debbie also waited for Brooke's arrival.
At 12:00 my doctor broke my water, which really intensified my contractions. By 3:30pm, John had suffered enough trauma from taking care of me and my crazy contractions, we decided to get an epidural AND it was amazing from that point on! At 8:45pm we started pushing.....
